Group Visits

 

All year round, the NMMA's Education Department offers docent-led tours of our permanent and temporary exhibitions.  Tours are tailored to all ages (including parents) and offer visitors an opportunity to learn about art and culture through the artwork on display and the thematic content explored by the exhibition. 

Tours are offered in English, Spanish or Bilingual. Space is limited to a maximum of 45 participants per group:

Annual “Day of the Dead” Exhibition

September - December

Monday - Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm

Saturday-Sunday 10:00am to 3:00pm

During the  #30 Día de los Muertos: Journey of the Soul exhibition we cannot allow self-guided visiting groups due to capacity constraints in the Museum. We apologize for any inconvenience.

All visiting groups above 10 participants must make reservations to visit the museum via telephone with a live museum representative in the Education Department. Tours must have a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 40. At least one chaperone per 10 students is required. Reservations must be made at least three weeks prior to your visit date. Please call (312) 738-1503 ext. 3842 to reserve your group visit. Reservations for #30 Día de los Muertos: Journey of the Soul will begin on August 1st, at 9:00am.
