Volunteer: Día del Niño

Join us Saturday April 21, 2018 in celebrating Chicago’s children and promoting healthy lifestyles at our Día del Niño Fun Walk and Family Festival.  For 22 years, the Museum’s Día del Niño has become one of the most anticipated festivals in the Pilsen neighborhood. Please read about volunteer roles below and fill out the volunteer form

Festivities will kick-off at 10AM at the National Museum of Mexican Art with a “Costume Caminata”, a costumed fun walk, around Harrison Park (.8 miles). Then guests will enjoy a day filled with physical activity, art activities, free health screenings, wellness education, and performances concluding at 3PM. This year, we anticipate over 2,000 children, families, and community organizations will join us at this free, fun, and family-friendly event.

The National Museum of Mexican Art is looking for volunteers ages 18 or older to help us make this the best Día del Niño Fun Walk and Family Festival ever. This year all activities will take place at the National Museum of Mexican Art, in Harrison Park (where the Museum is located) and in the Harrison Park Field House. Most shifts are four hours long.
