NEA Big Read - Dramatic Reading of The Round House

NMMA's Yollocalli Arts Reach is partnering with the American Indian Center of Chicago, Steppenwolf Theatre, Mujeres Latinas en Acción, The Newberry Library, and the Lozano Branch of the Chicago Public Library to offer a series of programs related to The Round House. Winner of the 2012 National Book Award for Fiction, The Round House by Louise Erdrich is set on the Ojibwe reservation in North Dakota and tells the story of a boy on the cusp of manhood who seeks justice and understanding in the wake of a terrible crime that upends and forever transforms his family.

NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.

Join us for a dramatic reading by native and indigenous actors of selected passages from the book, The Round House by Louise Erdrich, at Steppenwolf’s 1700 Theatre: 1700 N. Halsted.
