Sor Juana Award Honorees Reception

Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the National Museum of Mexican Art 

In order to recognize and honor women worldwide for their
 outstanding civic, social, artistic and lifetime contributions, the National Museum of Mexican Art has
 established three annual awards:

Sor Juana Women of Achievement: This award honors local women of Mexican descent who have contributed to our community through the arts, academia, 
civic leadership, volunteer work or professional leadership.

Sor Juana Honoree: This award is given to a non-Mexican woman whose outstanding 
contributions to society exemplify and honor the beliefs, leadership and 
spirit of Sor Juana Inés de la Crúz.

Sor Juana Legacy: This award honors a woman of Mexican descent whose outstanding
 lifetime contributions to the arts and/or academia exemplify and continue to 
honor the legacy of Sor Juana Inés de la Crúz.
