U.S. Premiere Book Presentation: Lunas de Estambul by Sophie Goldberg

U.S. premiere Book Presentation: Lunas de Estambul by Sophie Goldberg.The first novel by Mexican Author, Sophie Goldberg, Lunas de Estambul is a story based on the life of her own grandmother, Ventura Eskenazi who came from her native country, Turkey, to Mexico in 1927 to marry. This is a story that the author heard numerous times as a child. Goldberg felt this tale would pay homage to Mexico for being a country that has been so generous to migrants who came during the last century. 
 
Sophie Goldberg was born in Mexico City. She studied Communication Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. She has contributed to several journals and received several literary awards. Among her books is the poetry book "Life and Passions”.

This event is part of the National Museum of Mexican Art's 2015 Sor Juana Festival. 

Cost: $10 per person; proceeds will benefit the National Museum of Mexican Art. Please purchase tickets at the door.
