Viva la Vida Summer Series: Grabado en Relieve

Printmaking Workshop

Suggested donation of $20.00 covers class and all materials

Learn all about the history of Mexican printmaking and artists with the National Museum of Mexican Art! Participants will explore the works of Jose Guadalupe Posada, Manuel Manilla, artists from the Taller de Grafica Popular, and contemporary artist Carlos Cortez. Students will also learn basic printmaking skills and carving techniques to create their own one-of-a-kind works of art.

Kits with all materials needed will be available for curbside pick-up at NMMA, 1852 W. 19th Street, Chicago on Tuesday, July 14th. We will arrange to deliver kits to those participants who are not able to collect them from the Museum. Suggested donation may be made when registering or when kits are picked up or delivered. Please note: for participants outside of Chicago, kits will be mailed or we will send you a list of supplies.
