Treasures of Ancient Veracruz: Magia de la risa y el juego, Oct 8, 2004 – Feb 6, 2005

Summary: This exhibition features sixty archeological artifacts from the region of Mexico identified as the “cradle of Mesoamerican civilization” – Veracruz.  All of the ancient figures on display wear smiles or demonstrate the fundamental human need to play and have fun- including 4-ton, three-thousand year old Colossal Olmec Head Num. 9.
