School Group Museum Visits: Día de Muertos - A Time to Grieve & Remember
2021-2022 School Year

The National Museum of Mexican Art is pleased to offer School Group Tours of our 2021 Día de Muertos - A Time to Grieve & Remember exhibition. Group tour reservations will begin on Sunday, August 1st, 2021 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. After that, reservations will be taken Monday through Friday between 9:30 am and 4:30pm. All reservations must be made via telephone with a live education representative at 312.738.1503 ext.3842.

Guidelines for group tours have changed slightly due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Please read the details listed below:

For the time being, there will be no self-guided school visits allowed during the 2021-2022 school year.

Tours will be available Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on the hour with a 40-person maximum including teachers and chaperones. All participants must wear a face mask or face covering at all times during the tour.

We kindly ask that groups arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to the start time of the guided tour. There will be time allowed to see the rest of the museum after the tour.

All students must remain close to their groups and chaperones while inside the museum.

Students are encouraged to leave bags or personal belongings at school. If a group needs to bring bags or personal belongings, they will be asked to check them into a bin assigned to each group.
