The Museum will be closed on Friday, July 4th, during Independence Day. We will return to regular hours of 10:00 am – 5:00 pm all weekend long.
Aurora Reyes was a writer, teacher, painter, and is regarded as Mexico’s first woman muralist. Her works addressed issues of education, social struggle, and gender in a Post-revolutionary Mexico. Her work was included in the 2007 exhibition at the NMMA, Women Artists of Modern Mexico: Frida’s Contemporaries.
