The Museum will be closed on Friday, July 4th, during Independence Day. We will return to regular hours of 10:00 am – 5:00 pm all weekend long.
María Tomasula is a painter and a professor. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago and Northwestern University, Tomasula is an active member of the Chicago art scene. Her works explore aesthetics of Mexican diasporic identities by including elements that address spirituality, life and death, and nature. The NMMA hosted her solo exhibition of still lifes, Encanto, in 1999.
