Día de los Muertos Xicágo

October 25, 2025, 3:00 – 8:00 pm Harrison Park

Join us on Saturday, October 25th, as we celebrate Día de los Muertos by transforming the Museum and its surroundings into a beautiful space to remember our departed loved ones. Experience the beauty of this beloved tradition through ofrendas created by community members, live music and performances, art activities, and a stunning illuminated ofrenda projected onto the exterior of the Museum. Together, we will honor the memory of our departed loved ones.

Be on the lookout for the entertainment lineup coming soon!

We invite families and individuals to take part in the event by creating ofrendas (altars) in Harrison Park or by sharing a photograph of a departed loved one to be incorporated into a large photo memorial projected outdoors.

Read more details about creating your own ofrenda and reserve your spot here. Please note that spaces are limited.

Upload your picture for the photo memorial here by October 15th.

Below are some tips for submitting a photo:

  • Submit a high-quality, clear, and visible image.
  • The image must be suitable for cropping.
  • No more than two people per image.

Images may not be selected if they fail to meet these standards.
