Marcos Raya is a Chicago-based mixed media artist and former muralist. Raya arrived in Chicago at the height of the Civil Rights Movements in the United States. His work explores and depicts imagery of folklore, the impact of technology, and political issues. His work has been frequently displayed in exhibitions at the museum since opening its doors in 1987.
