Elsa Muñoz is a Chicago-based painter. Her work often depicts landscapes that appear to capture movement in time. Her work explores an array of topics but speaks to the relationships between people and their environments, and processes of healing. The NMMA celebrated her works in the solo exhibition Claro y Obscuro: Recent paintings by Elsa Muñoz in 2011.
