René Arceo is a Chicago-based educator, printmaker, and painter. His work follows much of the grabado tradition, and explores migration, indigeneity, and spirituality, aiming to resonate with the masses. Arceo is a frequent collaborator with the NMMA given he was one of the first curators and educators when the museum opened in the late 1980s. He founded Arceo Press, an internationally-networked printmaking studio in 2005 and continues to organize print projects and exhibitions.
