Shizu Saldamando is a portrait artist based in Los Angeles. Her subjects, often friends of her’s, are other creatives and members of the Chicanx, activist, queer communities. Her works will be celebrated, alongside another important portrait artist, Ester Hernández in the forthcoming exhibition (2021) Reframing Comunidad: Ester Hernández and Shizu Saldamando.
