Adventures with Abuela Book Release

Join us for Virginia Martinez’s latest book, Adventures with Abuelita: Let’s Go to the Planetarium. Martinez is a longtime Pilsen activist, leader, and author. Her ongoing series, Adventures with Abuela, capture the stories of a young boy named Rio and the time he spends with his grandmother. In this new chapter the book follows Rio, who loves to look up at the sky. Even at night, he looks up at the moon. In this adventure, Abuela takes him and his little sister Lily to the Adler Planetarium where they learn about eclipses. Will he have a chance to actually see one?
