Due to inclement weather, the National Museum of Mexican Art will be closed on January 23rd and 24th.
The National Museum of Mexican Art’s Community Arts Sustaining Academics (CASA) program is excited to present a delightful afternoon of music and dance, showcasing CASA's young and talented performing artists along with notable community musicians. Snacks, beverages, and entry into raffles are included with purchase of a ticket.
The lineup includes three different partner schools: Calmeca Elementary, Sherlock Elementary, and Solorio Academy High School. The performing groups are:
- Folklorico Los Alebrijes
- Folklorico de Oro
- Folklorico Colores de Mexico
- CASA Mariachi
- Solorio Latin Jazz Ensemble
In addition to these youth performances the concert will feature special performances by:
- Mariachi Sirenas, Chicago's first all women Mariachi group
- Singer-songwriter Rosalba Valdez
We hope to see you there!
