The Mexican Fine Art Center Museum’s first Day of the Dead Exhibition. At the time, Duarte was one of the newest and most interesting of Chicago’s Mexican painters. The observance and traditions of Day of the Dead are of great significance to Duarte and he has been a strong advocate and promoter of this holiday. This exhibition was dedicated to the preservation of this intriguing Mexican folk tradition. Paintings by: Hector Duarte. Installation by: Clay Morrison.
