Two-day Bilingual Workshop: Saturdays, October 17th and 31st
11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Ages 15+
$80, materials included

Join artist Socorro Carlos, Colectivo Fuentes Rojas, and members of Stitches of the Soul, NMMA’s quilting and fiber arts group, for a hands-on workshop rooted in remembrance, solidarity, and collective action. Together, participants will create a 14” x 14” textile honoring missing persons while supporting the Fuentes Rojas Collective’s work to raise awareness about the ongoing crisis of violence and disappearances in Mexico.

Using hearts-and-flowers templates, participants will learn appliqué and embroidery techniques to create their own textile piece. No prior experience is required. A portion of workshop proceeds will support the collective by helping purchase materials for its continued work.
