Late Wednesdays: August

August 5, 2026, 5:00 pm National Museum of Mexican Art

Join us for Late Wednesdays, when we’ll be open until 8:00 pm. Enjoy the Museum after hours with extended access to the galleries and gift shop. Stroll through current exhibitions, pick up a unique gift, and take in the art in a more relaxed setting. Need another reason to visit? This is our last Late Wednesday featuring Images of Faith: 3000 Years of Spiritual Expressions in Mexico in the Main Gallery. Covering both ancient Mesoamerican practices and contemporary forms of spirituality, Images of Faith: 3000 Years of Spiritual Expressions in Mexico explores how faith and spirituality are honored on both sides of the border, telling a powerful story of devotion.

This month, we’re pleased to offer a preview of Sonido Fest, taking place on Saturday, August 15th. Located in the heart of Chicago’s historic Pilsen neighborhood, Sonido Fest is a free outdoor music festival showcasing the artists shaping today’s musical landscape. Join us and get a taste of this lively festival!
