Lazos y Nexus: The Legacy of María Izquierdo

June 14 – September 29, 1996

This unique exhibition united women from México and from Mexican ancestry living in the United States to explore the artistic heritage of one of the most important Mexican artists of the 20th century: María Izquierdo. It included: Cecilia Alvarez, Valerie Aranda, Cristina Cárdenas, Elena Climent, Dulce María Nuñez and Sylvia Ordoñez in a tribute to the power and inspiration of a great artistic master.
