Families with children are welcome to join us for a reading of I Remember Abuelito: A Day of the Dead Story by Janice Levy. Recommended for ages 4 – 8, this bilingual book tells how a family prepares to honor their deceased loved ones. We will connect this book to Sun Mad, an ofrenda dedicated to the artist’s father, a farm worker from the San Joaquin Valley, CA, which is currently on view in Nuestras Historias: Stories of Mexican Identity from the Permanent Collection.
