Families, join us for Listo para el museo: Storytime in the Galleries! This month we’re reading “The Princess and the Warrior: A Tale of Two Volcanoes” by Duncan Tonatiuh. We will connect the themes in this book to the artwork “The Legend of the Volcanoes” by Jesus Helguera in the exhibition Nuestras Historias: Stories of Mexican Identity from the Permanent Collection. Participants will take home their own art kit related to the content discussed. This program is open to families with children 6 – 9 years old. Admission is free but registration is required, email angela@nationalmuseumofmexicanart.org to register.
