Families with children 6 and younger are invited to create artwork inspired by artesanías. Using shrinky dink plastic, paint markers, and key rings, participants will make colorful charms inspired by alebrijes.

About the Teaching Artist:
Nancy Alvarado Rosas has been a graphic designer since 2013 and has developed her creative career in education using various disciplines. Her current mediums of preference include digital illustration, acrylic paint, and visual journals. Since joining NMMA’s Education team, she has taught art, journaling, and design workshops to children and their parents, using Mexican culture as a backdrop and inspiration. Nancy also owns and directs Letterkey, a stationery and lifestyle shop created to inspire organization and creativity.
