Listos para el museo: Pinta tu Trajinera

Families with children 6 and younger are invited to decorate wooden boats with paint markers, air-dry clay, and other materials, inspired by the colorful trajineras found in Xochimilco. This workshop is inspired by Xochicago: Floating Gardens of the Chicago River and México

About the Teaching Artist:
Nancy Alvarado Rosas has been a graphic designer since 2013 and has developed her creative career in education using various disciplines. Her current mediums of preference include digital illustration, acrylic paint, and visual journals. Since joining NMMA’s Education team, she has taught art, journaling, and design workshops to children and their parents, using Mexican culture as a backdrop and inspiration. Nancy also owns and directs Letterkey, a stationery and lifestyle shop created to inspire organization and creativity.
