Making History: The Art of Collecting

March 7 – June 1, 1997

This exhibition showcased contemporary paintings that the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum wished to add to its growing Permanent Collection. One of the goals of the Museum’s Permanent Collection is to have the nation’s premier repository of Mexican artists from Mexico and the U.S. With this exhibition, the Museum’s aim was to raise sufficient funds from our supporters to purchase and preserve these exceptional pieces created by a group of acclaimed artists.
