Nahui Olin: A Woman Beyond Time

June 22 – September 2, 2007
(Detail) Nahui Olin, El carrusel (Carousel), oil on cardboard, Private Collection

Nahui Olin (1893-1978) was a woman of great intellectual and creative capacity. She quickly became a prominent figure at a time when Mexico was headed towards Modernism. This exhibition helped shed light on how this one woman opened the road to freedom for other female artists who walked freely and with great dignity through the cultural scene of 20th century Mexico.
