Studio Saturday: Xochimilco Boats

September 19, 2026, 10:00 – 11:30 am National Museum of Mexican Art

Children ages 7-12 will learn how to make their own mini trajineras using popsicle sticks and cardboard. Then, participants will decorate their boats using paint and air-dry clay. This workshop is inspired by Xochicago: Floating Gardens of the Chicago River and México.
