The National Museum of Mexican Art is hosting a community donation drive in partnership with New Life and the Pilsen Food Pantry to support families in need this season.
We are collecting dried foods, diapers, and other essential items listed below to help support families in our community. Your contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference. Drop off any of the items listed below on Saturday, December 13th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Museum’s Courtyard.
The Museum will be collecting the following items:
Clothes (new or gently used):
Jackets for Children and Adults
Hats
Gloves
Socks
Hygiene Products (unopened):
Diaper Sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Baby Formula
Wipes
Toothpaste
Feminine
Pads
Soap
Bars
Vicks
Food and Non- Perishable Goods (unopened):
Dry Pasta
Seasonings (Cinnamon, Pepper, Salt, etc.)
Chicken
Broth
Cooking Oil (32 oz or smaller)
After this event, donations will continue to be accepted on Friday, December 19th, through Sunday, December 21st, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Donation boxes will remain available in the courtyard during these hours. Those who donate on Saturday, December 13th, will also be invited to participate in a free guided tour of Nuestras Historias: Stories of Mexican Identity from the Permanent Collection at 11:00 am.
