Volunteer

NMMA values the significant contributions of volunteers. We periodically recruit volunteers for special events & projects. The Museum's Auxiliary Board is a great way to volunteer.

Auxiliary Board

The Museum’s Auxiliary Board offers a variety of opportunities for emerging professionals and philanthropists who love Mexican art and culture to volunteer in support of the Museum. The Auxiliary Board is made up of a group of dynamic professionals who are passionate about NMMA’s mission.

About the Auxiliary Board

The purpose of the National Museum of Mexican Art’s Auxiliary Board is to support the National Museum of Mexican Art and its Board of Trustees through fundraising and community engagement. The Auxiliary Board fosters the growth of professionals into philanthropic leaders.

The group was launched in 2015 and members were instrumental in the promotion of the Museum’s first Día de los Muertos: Love Never Dies Ball fundraising event. In addition to this signature event, the Auxiliary Board plans social and fundraising projects and members volunteer on an ad hoc basis throughout the year. Most recently, the Auxiliary Board has successfully raised funds to purchase artwork for the Museum’s Permanent Collection. Additionally, the Auxiliary Board has added a second fundraising event: Copitas de Sol, a summer mixer that celebrates agave spirits.
