Guided Tour: Images of Faith: 3000 Years of Spiritual Expressions in Mexico
6:00 pm
Free

Join us for a tour led by a docent who will guide visitors through the gallery, highlighting selected works of art in this extraordinary exhibit, which revisits the Museum’s inaugural exhibition mounted almost forty years ago through a fresh lens. Covering both ancient Mesoamerican practices and contemporary forms of spirituality, Images of Faith: 3000 Years of Spiritual Expressions in Mexico explores the many ways faith and spirituality are honored on both sides of the border, telling a powerful story of devotion. Portraiture & Symbolism: Mercado Bag Portraits
6:30 pm
$10 per person

In this workshop, participants will receive a mini mercado bag to customize and decorate with canvas and charms. This workshop is inspired by Victoria Delgadillo’s piece in Nuestras Historias: Stories of Mexican Identity from the Permanent Collection, and it addresses the disappearance of women in Tijuana, encouraging participants to reflect on themes of visibility, remembrance, and empowerment through their designs.
