This week’s episode features DJs Vales Madre and Janesita.
First-generation Chicana artist Vales Madre has been DJing all over the south side of Chicago since 2009, evolving as a musician as revealed by her recently released singles entitled: Stolen Phone, Lost Keys [EP], and Muñequita. Janesita is a vibrant force in Chicago’s bustling House music scene, renowned for her dynamic and authentically driven sets. Janesita’s sets energize dance floors at her regular spots, including Emporium Wicker Park for Ritmo Fusion and bi-monthly Thursdays at the legendary Smartbar with her series, Public Movement. Her performances are not just sets but a movement of rhythmic storytelling, connecting beats across borders and generations.
